Ingredients for Oily Skin
Having trouble dealing with large pores? Do you have a lot of blackheads and whiteheads, especially around the T-Zone? Does your skin secrete too much oils to the point that you look like a hot, greasy mess by 2 PM? Do you break out often? If you said "yes" to most of these, you probably have oily skin.
Many people who have oily skin tend to skip their skincare routine. This is a big no-no in Dr. Althea's dictionary. You still need to cleanse and moisturize daily to get rid of pollutants and dirt built up during the day. But you also have to moisturize because pollutants can cause a lack of moisture. The lack of moisture, in turn, causes your skin to create excess oil. Even more oil secretion is not your goal.
Since moisturizing is so important, we would love to suggest a few ingredients to look for when finding for the best moisturizer for you out there.
1. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a moisturizing ingredient that is ideal for oily skin. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar naturally found on human skin. This sugar has the ability to hold water by gently penetrating moisture into the skin without being heavy. It's also effective in locking in moisture. Its lightweight quality makes it so that it does not clog your pores - your blackheads will thank you later.
2. Chamomile
Chamomile is an excellent antioxidant-like substance found not just in skincare, but as a therapeutic herb as well. Ever heard of chamomile tea? It helps reduce inflammation, which is why it is so good for soothing menstrual cramps, arthritis, and more. Similarly, when it comes to skincare, chamomile is used to soothe inflammation. It is great at reducing redness in acne and other skin problems like eczema and rashes as well. Similarly to hyaluronic acid, it is non-comedogenic, which means it doesn't clog pores for oily skin.
Since we recommend hyaluronic acid and chamomile for oily skin, we recommend Dr. Althea's Azulene 147HA Intensive Soothing Cream. Although suitable for all skin types, the Azulene 147HA Intensive Soothing Cream contains hyaluronic acid and chamomile to meet your needs. Check it out below!
