How to Streamline the 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine to 5 Steps

Before We Go On

-

The 10 Step Korean Skincare routine is incredibly famous for its positive effects for skin and the number of products used. With that being said, this skincare routine can take up a good amount of time and if there is time to pamper your skin then we are all for it. But, in reality, there isn’t always time for all 10 steps (plus a sheet mask). And to be honest, the 10 Step routine doesn’t have to be practiced every day! It’s actually best 2 - 3 times a week. So, if you love your 10 Step routine and want to shorten it or if you love the idea of the 10 step routine, but it’s just unrealistic for you. Then you’ve come to the right place. We've narrowed the 10 step routine to 5. These routines are built for night time, but if you want to switch it into a day time routine just add SPF. Without further adieu, let’s get into it!

Going from 10 to 5

You’ve got 10 products that you use consistently but you’re realizing it’s not realistic for traveling or busy days - so which products do you drop? Your skin is used to layers of product to help boost its’ overall health. So we still want to be able to provide your skin with ample nutrients and hydration. Therefore we’re keeping your ampoule and sheet mask in the routine, with the Squalane Ampoule Treatment Mask, you get both products in one. Plus it’s easy to travel with, the ampoules come in small single-use packaging. On busy days you can take out the sheet mask and just use the ampoule!

  1. Cleanser
  2. Toner
  3. Ampoule
  4. Sheet Mask
  5. Moisturizer

*Crunched for time? Look for moisturizer or cushion with SPF.

Going from 3 to 5

You own a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. Your skin isn't used to layers of product and it’s best not to jump into anything too heavy right off the bat. We think it’s necessary to add in anti-aging and hydrating products that are effective and easy to use. We’ve added on an eye cream, and an easy essence mask to your skincare routine. The goal is to improve your skin’s health without adding on too much time and products into your routine. But, if you’re feeling fancy you can take out the essence mask and sneak in a sheet mask before you use your eye cream and moisturizer!

  1. Cleanser
  2. Toner
  3. Eye cream
  4. Moisturizer
  5. Essence Mask

Summary

Easy, right? Whether your looking to lose a few products or add a few, we've got you covered! Of course, once you're comfortable and use ready to shake things up - feel free to explore a combination that works for you. Skincare is ultimately an incredibly personal process and these are just starting points for you to get to know what you like and don't like. Good luck!
